Sweet & Simple Wedding Cake

Here's a wedding cake we did this weekend; we thought it turned out so pretty and, as always, was fun to do! They wanted to keep it simple: traditional white cake with vanilla buttercream. But when you're talking about light, moist, amazing, from scratch cake paired with Italian Meringue real butter Buttercream that's fluffy as a cloud, what's simple about that? ...It's heavenly. We really made an effort, as always, to create exactly what our client wanted while keeping true to our style & quality level. It was also fun to get a request to add a personal touch, like the heart on the top of this cake, which is a symbol the couple used a lot in their correspondence. We kept it simple with touches of pink, the bride's favorite color.

Riverbend Art Gallery Event

Can you ever get tired of walking into a flower shop with that yummy, crisp, "green" smell & so much gorgeous eye candy? We knew we were on the prowl for some red ranunculus since it was an elegant function & our color scheme was red, white & chocolate ...& once we were in the cooler there was so much inspiration! We grabbed a beautiful lime hydrangea, some green hypericum & some sweet little mums ...& fell in LOVE with some pussywillow, which become our centerpiece. They even look lovely just wrapped in the brown paper...

Here's a view of the table... The Riverbend Art Gallery has really gorgeous pieces from the most amazing artists! It was a wonderful backdrop to show off a sampling of our culinary arts as well.

Devil's food mini cupcakes with silky dark chocolate ganache ...heaven.

Almond "Lotties" are old-fashioned, cakey & light with an almond icing. They're homey & unexpectedly addictive!

These shortbread linzers are the perfect little cookie. The shortbread is buttery & crisp with homemade raspberry preserves. They taste as amazing as they look.

We have the perfect coconut macaroon...creamy, chewy yumminess!Ooooooo...these will make anyone giddy: Dark Chocolate Carmel Truffles with Sea Salt. These are a favorite & definitely rival any chocolates you've ever had!

Espresso Snowcaps - The espresso adds such a depth to the flavor of this rich, chocolaty, moist cookie.

These boxes of truffles flew out the door! A great idea for a party favor.
